This week’s theme, “Into the Wild,” invited campers to explore both the natural world and their inner world. From daily discussions to outdoor adventures, our students reflected on who they are, what makes them unique, and how to respect the differences in others. Campers participated in guided conversations about their likes and dislikes, their dreams for the future, and what freedom means to them. These powerful moments gave them space to express themselves and connect with one another in meaningful ways.
Our nature walk brought the theme to life. Campers collected leaves and other natural treasures along the trail, then returned to camp to create beautiful art inspired by their findings. Each piece was as unique as the artist who made it, showing just how much beauty there is in both nature and individuality. These activities helped campers see the value of slowing down, looking closely, and creating from what’s around them.
And of course, no summer day is complete without a popsicle break! After each outdoor adventure, campers cooled off with icy treats and cold water in the shade. These little moments of joy and connection gave everyone time to laugh, relax, and bond as a camp community.
